Lube Technician (Full-time)

 

Reports to: Fleet Manager

Position Purpose: Travel to the various DFW sites to perform high quality lubrication and visual inspections on heavy equipment and report results to Fleet Manager so appropriate maintenance can be completed.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform duties associated with the oiling and greasing of industrial machines and equipment (Dozers, bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, track loaders, water trucks, trailers, etc.)
  • Inspect moving parts of mechanical equipment to detect wear and determine need for lubrication
  • Perform scheduled or unscheduled lubrication as assigned
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions.
  • Record and maintain production, repair, and machine and equipment maintenance information
  • Write accurate and concise equipment condition reports
  • Communicate daily with fleet management for directions & guidance
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Class B CDL
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check with minimal infractions
  • Willing and able to pass a physical examination
  • Willing and able to pass drug and alcohol screenings
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime, weekends and nights as needed
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Work includes heavy lifting (typically up to 50-100 lbs.)
  • Exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes
  • Exposure to prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crawling and climbing
